A feature is implemented to prevent two projects from having the same name within the same workspace. This will prevent the creation/rename of a project with the name of another project, but won't change projects with the same name before activating the feature.
Turn on the feature
Open the Administration panel (with Administrator right), navigate to Settings, and Environment settings.
A switch allows the administrator to change the setting: Allow or Prevent duplicated names.
By default, duplicated names are allowed. By clicking on the switch, you will prevent this behavior in the future.
Already existing duplicated names
When you prevent the possibility of duplicating names, a warning may appear if there are already projects with the same name.
The change will still apply, but you can download a text file with a summary of all the duplicated names. You can then correct them later.
Behavior of the project manager
Suppose the duplicated names are prevented for your company. In that case, the project manager will throw an error when renaming a project or creating a project with a name already existing in the workspace.
