What is the difference between a folder and a workspace?

A workspace (the new "Project group"'s name) is a space where various users from the same environment can collaborate to create or open projects and folders. Workspace comes with an access management system allowing to grant or not read or read/write rights to users.

A folder is a logic container for projects within a workspace without any specific right system. Users can create and use folders to organize their project hierarchy within the workspace defined by their administrator.

A project can be easily transferred between folders within the same workspace, but this cannot be done between workspaces for security reasons.

How to navigate between workspaces?

The workspaces you have access to are visible on the left navigation panel.

Click on the workspace name to open it. When a workspace is open, you will see which folders it contains on the left navigation panel and the workspace's content on the central area.

You can notice that you have read-only right to a workspace with the little “Eye” icon next to its name.

Folders management

Create a new folder

Click on the “New folder” button to create an empty folder. Select a name for the folder. Then confirm.

Move projects from/to a folder

To move a project into a folder, simply drag and drop it into the folder box (the black box) or on the folder name on the left navigation pane.

To remove a project from a folder, open the folder then drag and drop the project into the Workspace item on the left navigation panel.

You can also select many projects and drag and drop them all at once in/out of a folder.
